With the school gates getting ready to be flung open, we are all thinking it – back to school time. Yes, it’s that time of year again to update their stationary, school bags and bedrooms. But what about you? Here are my 5 great ways to revamp your studio or office space.
EASY WAYS TO UPDATE YOUR HOME OFFICE
If you work from home, your studio can often feel like the most neglected space in the house—an area outfitted with random pieces and castoffs from other rooms. But as the kids are getting ready to go back to school with a few easy updates you can beat those work blues.
I get it. Sitting at your desk all day is so boring. So, why not make your studio as inspiring as the rest of your home? It will enhance your productivity and make the day go by faster. I adore my desk space. I cocoon myself with inspiring books, ambient lighting and a few candles to keep me chilled.
BRING IN THE ART
Delete that photoshopped screensaver. It is time to bring in your favourite artworks to make you feel you’re at your favourite museum rather than the office. This will keep you focused and happy – trust me!

GREEN UP YOUR GAFF
I have greenery in every room in the house. I make sure I surround myself with my faux botanicals and flowers in my studio so even though I am chained to my desk, I have the pull of the outside to take a break.
Add a splash of green
When I am busy beavering away, the time can easily slip by, and before I know it, I’ve missed lunch. Make sure you don’t skip meals to get work done in time. Cooking keeps you focused and allows you to take a break and think over difficult decisions. I have recently launched my new kitchenware collection, as I think it is so important to cook with utensils, pots and pans you love, so you can be inspired to make your next meal.
